    I need some new threads.

No students today, so I took the day off. Already got next week's lesson plans done. Now I can just get baked and read for the rest of the day. Life is OK.

Bros swear that crypto is real money but I've never seen an ad for dollars.

My company gifted us Apple Airpod Pros as a welcome back to the office thing.

Can't remember the last time I owned an Apple product. An iPod video in 2005, maybe?

I'm at my third MacBook Pro, and I still have an old iPod sitting on top of a set of old Logitech speakers.

I'm probably going to buy a new laptop this year. My current machine is almost 8 years old now. I've upgraded it, but its age is starting to show.

Got a 10 year old mini-Mac with an 8 year old OS powering my music studio.

I know the time will come soon. I just can't bare to voluntarily give up all my pirated plug-ins.

Dallas Good of the Sadies Has Died

Bummer. He was my age too, and that makes it worse.

What is it with all these people dying all the time?! Don't die, you fools!

Why do seagulls fly over the sea?

Because if they flew over the bay, they’d be called bagels.

And if they flew over hay they’d be called Hegels.

I’ve tested positive for Covid and have some mild symptoms. So that’s happening.

    Oh shit. Mega PMA's, Ev.

Thanks, Mr. Wurbur. It’s pretty mild so far. I mean, I feel sick, but I’ve definitely felt worse. I have to quarantine for at least five days - no school this week! Hopefully, I won’t test positive when I do the test again.

Hey, I’m reading The Other by Thomas Tryon. Anybody else ever read that one? I remember seeing the movie as a kid, but I don’t remember much about it. Just that it was spooky.

Positive mind atoms, Moe! I hope it will stay mild.

I haven't caught it yet, I think, but I'm expecting to get it sooner or later. Everyone has caught it at my work, and I have students who are presently in confinement.

They didn't give cause of death, but I believe Lanegan had both long COVID and escalating liver degeneration. He'd long since cleaned up but he lived hard enough for long enough that he did damage anyway.

    Amazing Jonathan passed as well.

This might seem really lame, but I had this dubbed off TV when I was a kid and watched it a few million times.

He was funny. I mean, all Vegas acts are cheesey, bit he was also funny. Kind of sad his family knew he had cardiomyopathy but thought he was just having a 36 hour nap and snuggled.him while he died.

    How you doing, Ev?
  • moetownmoetown Posts: 2,841
    Still kicking.
This virus sticks around for a while. I haven’t had any of the respiratory problems some people get, but my head feels like it’s in a bubble and I’m just worn out and tired all the time. When I got up today, I tried to convince myself that I was feeling better. That worked for about 10 minutes. Now I’m back in bed.
    Ugh.

Putin told NATO he demands they withdraw all troops, infrastructure, and even memberships to countries who joined after 1997.

Fun time to have family in the former Soviet bloc.
