"Just a Girl"? Yeah, that was weak sauce. We managed to sneak it in after all. It was middle of the pack for Marvel... definitely good but not world beating or anything. I liked the character and the performance a lot more than the direction. It was a little slow to get going and the action sequences were often just a noisy blur. But Larson, Jackson, and Mendelsohn were all great and they mostly sold it all without a hitch.
Yes. So many other songs on the soundtrack (Hole, Elastica) would've been fine there if they wanted a rock and roll Thor moment, but Just a Girl is a goofy ass song musically.

Yep, I'll sign off on that. There were a few battles where I swore they literally just sped up the footage to hurry up and get them over with.

Also, de-aging CGI has come into it's own. It never bothered me.

Remember Charlie, our new cat? Two days ago, he went from cute and dainty kitten meows to big strapping macho meeeeooooowwws.

Puberty at last! He's going to get neutered soon.

Hi Pogo! and Karen! Denton is closer than Carrollton. Maybe we can actually spend some time together!

I was not thrilled with Captain Marvel. I blame the directors. One thing regarding the music choices.. They play Come As You Are as if it's a song that's important to Carol but she wouldn't know it because she's been off-Earth since 89.

    How yall been?

They should probably just stay. Have they discussed that idea?

Oh, I think they should leave! It's funnier that way.

Last night I dreamt the first 20 minutes of a Paul Giamatti movie.

At first he was being snooty and aloof.

Then he suffered an embarrassing situation that he struggled to recover from.

Then he drank a lot of white wine.

Then, drunk, he was too honest with his wife and potentially put his marriage in jeopardy.

I feel like it was pretty spot on.

Fellow crappitters, I beseech you, hear my plea!

Wifey wants to print from her IPad and in colour if needed. Therefore I need to replace my old faithful HP1012, which doesn't have wifi nor bluetooth, with something more modern.

    Any suggestions? What says ye?

    Print it at work?

    I haven't had a home printer in a decade.

British MPs voted against second Brexit referendum by majority of 249.

Well, it looks like they are determined to leave. But they can't agree on a way to do it.

And now they voted to delay brexit. The EU still has to accept it. There will be European parliament elections in late May. If the brits are leaving, they shouldn't be able to vote in them. But if they haven't left by then, what will the EU do?

Anyway, the Brits have been trying to find an acceptable deal for over two years now. I'd be surprised if they can pull it off before EU elections.

So, I got asked if I'd be interested in hosting a livingroom concert for Ken Stringfellow or Steve Wynn. I know who they are but never had a fanboy phase for either. Any thoughts from yall?

I had offered Lou Barlow my space for a show that never worked out, and now I guess I'm part of a livingroom circuit??

I've heard Stringfellow is good people. He is one of those people I like much of what he's done without ever tipping over into becoming a capital F fan. I know the Posies songs that everyone else does, and maybe a dozen more on top. And I sure appreciated him for helping bring back Big Star.

Tonight is the scouts lock-in. That should be... exhausting.

Sunday I head to Dallas for a week for training.
