They should start impeachment procedures soon, and there's so much shit to investigate that I'm sure they could stretch it close to the 2020 campaign. Even if they don't get to impeach him, they could damage his chances of a second term.
On the other hand, I thought that son of a bitch was toast when the "grab them by the pussy" thing came out, and he still got elected, so who knows, eh?
However, asshole has been president for three years now, and he has done fuck all except fill his pockets and appoint crackpots, hacks and grifters. Will his bullshit still work its "magic"?
Talking about assholes getting their comeuppance: the Supreme Court of the UK has ruled that Boris Johnson's suspension of parliament was illegal. The opposition is already demanding Johnson's resignation.
Funny thing is, president Shit-fer-brains seems to think everything's hunky-dory!
Either the people who work with him are as dumb as he is or after hours of him raging they just said, "ah, fuck it, this is great for you, Mr. President. Release it, asshole."
Anyway, poor Ukrainians! They depend on US military aid, and now they're caught in the middle of this shit.
-Andrew Johnson, who fired cabinet officials over the objections of Congress to protect his personal interests -Richard Nixon, who ilegally used government resources to try and gin up dirt on his political opponents and -Bill Clinton, who perjured himself to cover up an affair.
I can’t think of a single Republican senator who’d vote to impeach. It’s a sick and twisted state of affairs that they love Trump more than they love their country.
I feel like if I had the patience to do the Photoshop work, there's a Trump/Giuliani by way of Repo Man mashup built around "Let's go do some crimes!" just ripe for the picking.
Yes. So far not a single Republican Rep said they'd vote for impeachment. Although there are still 60+ undecideds. So maybe one or two in swing districts will decide that "Maverick" would look good on their reelection ads.
But... there are already enough votes to impeach. That is practically a done deal (unless Pelosi finds a way to fuck it up). He will be impeached.
The Senate will acquit him shortly after, but at least he'll have that scarlet letter around his neck for the next 15 months.
And maybe JUST maybe a public hearing with lots of media attention will convince 1 or 2 percent more people that he actually is a crook. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm at a Chamber of Commerce meeting with a bunch of Republicans complaining about how insurance is overly expensive and they wish they could get Medicare sooner.
I've noticed that with the word socialism and other words. I mean, if I talk about how animals change through time because of natural selection and don't use the word "evolution" and I don't mention Darwin, people tend to accept what I'm saying. But as soon as the E and D words come up, hackles get raised.
Big day if you're a Mats fan. Dead Man's Pop is out. That's the re-release that strips away all of Chris Lord-Alge's dated eighties radio sheen and returns Matt Wallace's original mix and sequence. Coupla discs worth of extras too.
I've been listening this morning and it finally sounds like a semi-logical follow-up to Pleased to Meet Me. Still not necessarily in line with their best, but they sound like themselves on it, which is cool.
Oh cool. I saw something was coming out but didn't realize it included a glossless Don't Tell a Soul. Should be interesting. I don't think it was just the production that was aching for radio play.

I wonder if he'll release them in exchange for dirt on Kamala Harris?

Trump has done ALL THREE OF THESE THINGS.

But you know, down with socialism and all.
Gonna surprise my girlie. We are both fans. Still spin the early albums.
