Ha! I didn’t realize I’d said the exact thing to Jeff that he’d said to me earlier. I promise I wasn’t mocking you.

Even though there are plenty of reasons to be gloomy, I’m pretty sure that my brain trying to adjust to the lower dosage of that drug is playing a role in how I’m feeling. It hasn’t even been a week since I cut back. I have to keep reminding myself about that.

I took it as bro solidarity. Nothing but good vibes.

I’ll drink to bro solidarity. Not right this minute, but next time I decide to have a drink.

My Dallas friend is struggling with putting his dog down. He made a promise to his wife before she died to take good care of their dogs, so I think that’s messing with his ability to make a rational decision about what’s best for the dog. He’s got two out of four dogs that I think should be put down. It’s really weighing heavily on him. I’m so glad I don’t have a pet to stress over.

I'm struggling at work. I just don't like it there anymore and it's making me sluggish, unproductive, and occasionally surly.

It's also making my people skills suffer. I have an order that got stupidly messed up and, in pointedly explaining this, I was rude to the people empowered to fix it.

I mean, yes, they are also the people who ruined it. But still. I need to think bigger picture.

We applied for a mortgage forbearance. With the added unemployment benefits ending, things will get rough here and that would save us for a bit. Here's hoping.

I hope it works out, Jeff. I imagine you're stressed out to the nth degree. It's difficult to be civil to people when our way of life is crashing down around us. Hell, it's hard to get out of bed and do anything productive while dealing with all the stress and despair. Hang in there, buddy.

Biden called Trump the first racist president. I don't think he's the first.

It was something I read at snopes.com.

I don't know if my high level of anxiety is from cutting back on my anti-anxiety med or just a natural response to everything going on around me.

Seemed like that was part of prepared remarks, meaning that SOMEone should have told him not to say that and didn't.

I mean... the Klansman one and the slave owning ones seem pretty racist, just as a start.

Fun fact: my middle name is Wilson, after my dad's. But his is Wilson because of that trend where a lot of Boomer kids were named after presidents they claimed some relation to... and I guess Woodrow Wilson is a distant cousin of some kind.

Have to admit I did not know what a straight up racist he was until recently. Wasn't in my history books.

I passed the name onto Simon as his middle. At this point, it's about my dad, not great grandma's third cousin twice removed.

Seen today on the guitar page I occasionally frequent (but no longer bother commenting on):
    Hello

This is not a political thread so no one start talking politics.

Things are getting worse between states and China, plus many factories over the world have not opened up.

Could there be a serious shortage of parts and intruments, amps, etc soon if things continue the way they are?
Could manufacturers such as Epiphone, Vox, etc have to move their factories out of China?
    Things are getting serious everywhere.

Even the guitar nerds are getting worried!

Little S. middle name is Valentine... Not because I'm distantly related to roman emperors, but because she's what happened when wifey and I got it on on St. Valentines day.

A___'s middle name is Levy because Led Zep's "When the levee breaks" rocks hard.
  • moetownmoetown Posts: 3,276
That’s great! My middle name is Oops because my parents weren’t planning on having children at the time.

A Television song came on while I was doing my trampoline thing. Every time I hear Television it reminds me of Tripp.

I had a cat named Jarvis because I was really into Pulp.

Local guy was helping his uncle cut down a tree in his yard. The local tree police (natural resource enforcement) rolled in, gave them a ticket for not having the right permit. While they were running his license, he showed up on an ICE watch list. They illegally detained him for two hours awaiting ICE agents. ICE took him directly to detention center where he's been for over three months with no due process.

We not only won the case, but the judge found it egregious enough to force the Tree Police to pay our fees. Almost a half million. (which is where I come in as the billing specialist).
I mean, good outcome but...I can't get over how awful the beginning is.

The Lincoln Project ads seem to be preaching to the choir. I’m skeptical as to whether they’re going to sway any Republicans to vote for a Democrat.
The Lincoln Project reveal that the Democratic elite used Trump as an excuse to rollback the left to the point that neocon ghouls are being welcome at the DNC table and that the Dems are basically indistinguishable now from the Republican Party between 2000-2012. Not much difference between what a John McCain or Mitt Romney presidency and a Joe Biden one. This isn't good.

Trump needs to be voted out, but the left is going to be in bad shape no matter who wins.

My middle name is Moses because Newfies all had Biblical names.

Named after the guy sitting down. He lost his leg after falling into hull of a fishing boat in rough seas.
