I stopped thinking about what a drag it was that I had all this work to do and just made myself sit in front of my computer until it was done. I’m sure I’ve said this several times: I like that I have a job, but I really hate working.
I need to buy a new used car, but I’m having trouble figuring out what I want. I’d like a car that’s super comfy and has a smooth ride over bumps. Of course I want good gas mileage, but I don’t want an EV. I also want something reliable. I’d really like leather seats. I know I don’t want an SUV. Any suggestions? I’d also like a kickass stereo system. When I turn up the stereo in my Prius C, the bass makes the door buzz. I don’t like that feature.
Trump never dipped below about 35 percent approval, no matter what he did. Truss was far less incompetent than President Shit-fer-brains (feeble praise, eh?). But her approval ratings got down to single digits, so her political party and political base turned on her.
I'd say that, in spite of everything, UK's democracy is still in much better shape than the US's.
Nothing special tomorrow, but Sunday is my mother-in-law's birthday. I've heard we're going to a fancy-pants Thaï restaurant. There are rumors that the father-in-law is going to pickup the tab too, so I guess I'm going to stuff my face all evening!
My Halloween movie recommendation is to get Shudder for the week (there are free trials, standalone and through Amazon Prime).
